Hello, I'm Catherine!

My husband's name is Don. We are so glad you are here!

Our story begins in July of 2019 when we fell in love with an 1840's timber home! We had no idea it was a timber home until we were knocking down the drywall ceiling in the kitchen. Thats a long story for another time.

And to our surprise, yes ...you guessed it...Timber Beams! Since then, we have both worked tirelessly for almost 5 years to turn this home into "OUR" home. We have now lived here for almost 2 years and that is a very long story.

I started this blog to showcase my husband's amazing talents. He has a background in carpentry and construction, and I love to decorate in the Elegant Cottage Style and Thrifting on a Budget.
